Sheila Arway is an on-air Beauty Expert and Makeup Artist. From spending endless hours testing products in Sephora and giving makeovers at Ulta while growing up, to doing friends’ makeup for formals in college and hosting impromptu styling sessions in her closet, Sheila has always been the go-to-girl in her circle for spot-on, informed and impassioned beauty and style advice.

A Chicago-native, Sheila graduated from Northwestern University and moved to New York City, eagerly immersing herself in the mecca of beauty and fashion. There, she channeled her love of sharing beauty news, trends and tips into a career in beauty PR at top NY firms like Kaplow Communications working on prestigious brands, including Shiseido, Nexxus and St. Ives. Through her work, Sheila forged close relationships with media and industry insiders, allowing her to glean a deep understanding of the the beauty business, including consumer needs and brand goals. She further honed her trend forecasting and interpreting abilities reporting from New York Fashion Week and evaluating products, salons and MedSpas as a freelance beauty writer.

Fully entrenching herself in additional facets of the industry, Sheila received hands-on experience assisting celebrity makeup artist, Mickey Williams, and also attended the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy for formal training in makeup artistry. Sheila has collaborated with well-known brands and corporations, including Neiman Marcus, Bloomberg, EcoTools, CVS, Natori and many more.

Armed with a well rounded beauty background, Sheila is equally comfortable communicating her advice to consumers and the media alike. Whether she’s helping a friend find the perfect lipstick, teaching women do-it-yourself beauty tricks or introducing someone to a new favorite product through an application, Sheila’s goal is to help women feel gorgeous, glamorous and empowered to achieve the looks they covet. It is this desire to help every woman feel beautiful and confident, plus her propensity to share all of her insider tips and product preferences that led Sheila to become a Makeup Artist and Beauty Expert.
